Hiya!
Cool, you've stumbled on Decadence. The title? Partially inspired by pop culture and the 'throwaway' stereotype that comes along with it. It felt appropriate to reimagine the negative connotation towards it and be a little ironic. I also had to add the 'pop' for the domain because Blogger are trying to stifle my creativity simply because I'm using the free edition. Fuming. I was initially going to call the blog Decade. I was inspired by pop supreme Lady Gaga, who, in 2011, had correctly asserted that her Born This Way album was the album of the decade, but Decadent just felt right. I also couldn't resist with being on par with other publications who transformed what was once a flippant word into a commanding title.
Thank you for reading the first two paragraphs, there's plenty more to come as I will be sharing pieces regularly. Decadence is going to be a great exercise for me (the gym could never) as I like to write, I'm always talking; most commonly about how Britney Spears' Blackout and Charli XCX's Pop 2 are the most important musical bodies of modern times. Often, my enthusiasm on this subject leaves people bewildered but being online offers a unique opportunity to find those with similar interests. Furthermore, I wanted to convert my ideas into written pieces to share my ideas with likeminded people. You never know, this could grow into something bigger. I'm setting my current KPI as being the next Anna Wintour by the end of the month.
Here's a randomly selected photo of High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale donning an interesting number in 2007 (a period that will be remembered as the height of fashion) for your entertainment.
